But not necessarily another year wiser, and after 28 years you would think I may have learnt something ![]()
It has been a long year, with it set to be a slow last 3 months before Christmas. Work is piling up. Joy!
Several exciting things have happened in the last 12 months:
- I was accepted into the HTTPD PMC
- I was made a member of the ASF
- We got a new, awesome car
- I got “accepted” into to the ASF Infra team, even though I am Windows bloke.
- I got an oyster card
- I moved my server and services to slicehost
- I rediscovered my love for badminton
Not sure I can think of much else, but here’s hoping the next 12 months bring some new challenges and exciting times.

Happy day, and many happy returns!
Way to go for a Windows “bloke” to do infra work: I’m on your side.
Man, badminton: me too. It’ll be a while before my daughter can really provide a real game though; too bad you’re in the other Cambridge.
