So it’s done. I am moving on…

As those of you who follow me on IRC will know, I have been looking for a new job for a few months now, and I am very happy to say that I recently accepted a role at Caret, part of The University of Cambridge as senior sys admin.

I will be working on some exciting OSS collaboration projects, involving universities all around the world focusing on some of the technologies I help support at the ASF. I’m not sure how much else I can say at the moment, so I’ll be keeping mum for a little while longer yet.

So, this means I will no longer be working in central London, and I wont be a commuter any longer. My travel to work will be a 35 min bicycle ride, down the beautiful river Cam. I’ll be home long before it is dark, I’ll get to see my wife, hopefully get fit again and be able to have a ‘normal’ social life where possible. Yay!

London has been fun, but, I think it is time to move on now and look for new challenges in new areas. Onwards and upwards.
